Kinda apples and oranges. Are you sure your queue depth is 4Mb? The Maximum queue depth (MAXDEPTH) should be much less than that...something like 5000 (the default on my system) or something. The Maximum message length (MAXMSGLEN) defaults to 4194304 I believe - is this the parameter to which you're referring? If indeed you're talking about MAXMSGLEN, don't worry. That's what MQ is for. It will segment and reassemble your message automatically. ------ Forwarded Message From: <ganeshkumar.murugesan@xxxxxxxxx> Reply-To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Mon, 20 Jun 2005 13:56:17 +0530 To: <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: MQ Message size > Queue Depth I'm using a queue whose queue depth is 4MB. But the size of my message is 15MB. Now what are the options to send this message via MQ series. Will MQ automatically divide the message into segments and send it? Thanks, Ganesh
