LDAP

I am writing an RPGLE program that will access the LDAP server and read / write 
the directory entries.
I have found a section on LDAP API's in the Info Center, but am not sure of the 
order that they should be applied.
Has anyone done anything like this, or does anyone know any examples?
 
All help will be appreciated.
