Using In-Line Data Files

Does anyone have any experience using the DATA command in a CL program? I'm trying to create an inline data file containing source statements but I'm not having much luck. When I enter //DATA in my CL source file, I get the following message:





Message ID . . . . . . : CPD0031

Date sent . . . . . . : 05/23/05 Time sent . . . . . . : 08:56:23


Message . . . . : Command DATA not allowed in this setting.



Cause . . . . . : The complete list of settings includes: batch,

interactive, batch control language (CL) program, interactive CL program, batch REXX procedure, interactive REXX procedure, batch CL ILE program, interactive CL ILE program, CALL to QCMDEXC, and various types of source statements. The Display Command (DSPCMD) command can be used to determine the setting in which the command is allowed.

Recovery . . . : Omit the command.
