Should point out that </QDLS.LIB> might not have been exactly 'wrong'. AFAIK, that's a perfectly valid directory name. Why should OS/400 "know" it was wrong? The error would have been that you didn't *OMIT </QDLS> and thereby mixed file systems inappropriately. I guess my point is that understanding the error message means understanding what SAV is capable of and understanding how IFS file systems fit together. No small task because the IFS is a pretty slick deal overall. If we all had the IFS down pat, we'd have all seen the error immediately. I sure missed it for too long.
