Just think...by gutting the machine of reliable coummuications and replacing it with the much more updated methods(ethernet/TCP/IP) we will all have jobs well into social security.
I want to go on the record as thanking IBM and the marketing staff that came up with all those fabulous ideas. This latest idea ought to be good for several more years of support issues.
The new line to be used at customer sites will somthing like this:
Customer: "Well damn... it used to work really well, what happened ????"
Us: Uhhh, IBM decided that method was old and needed a "fresh look" to appear "modern", so they replaced it with this new method. I should have it working pretty good in a month or so. I hope your customers don't really need to use those ATM's.
I bet that shiny new OS/4i will fix these problems.
