Well, don't know that I'd say "HA solution will do some journaling.." The fact of the matter is you'll need to turn on journaling to use the HA solution. Particularly the HA solutions like iTera that use remote journal receivers. If you don't already have it on, the HA solution install will turn it on. If it were me, I'd turn on journaling now. That way you can turn it on incrementally and work out any problems you may have prior to installing the HA solution.
