Most modern network printers/servers support LPD/R natively, so SNDTCPSPLF
should 
work fine since that is the transport it uses. You could also configure a
RMTOUTQ, 
which uses the same LPR process, but skips the SNDTCPSPLF step. 

The destination server doesn't have to be an OS/400 box, LPD is a standard
service 
provided by (or at least available on) most modern operating systems.
(win2k3, win2k, 
winNT, Unix, Linux, OS/390, etc.) 

Several of the label printers that I am familiar with also support receiving
label 
data directly via FTP as well. (Zebra for sure)
