You no longer need a weekly IPL. IPLs are required to recovery temporary addresses. Ever since we went from 48 bit to 64 bit, IPLs are probably only necessary when you apply PTFs. Also, BRMS and TAATOOLs both have features that will allow you to schedule Option 21 backups from the console.
