You don't preallocate space in Domino. Sort of like when you do a CRTPF you don't use a lot of disk space until you add records to the file. Wait, is your domino running natively in OS/400? Does it show up on WRKDOMSVR? Or, are you running it on an IXS card? That would be the only thing that would preallocate space. There are commands that you can run in Domino that will help save space, like COMPACT. There are some databases that will not be compacted while the server is running and there is a way to do it when the server is down. But that's outside the scope of this list.
