At least one, over the years, and once it ceased to be a production box, or even much of a development box, we didn't bother replacing them. I think the total storage left on it is little more than 1G. And since nothing critical lives on it for very long, we haven't enabled any RAID on it. (On the other hand, our production box, and our two RISC development boxes, are all set for full mirroring.)


When we first started our convention of naming AS/400s after planets (and later, stars as well), we called this one Pluto, because it's always been a real dog, as far as AS/400s go. Remarkable that it should suddenly develop a case of distemper.
