RE: PKZip for the AS/400 or iSeries

The "jar" utility basically performs all the functions of the ZIP
utility, Anne.  The jar utility is available under QShell and you can
use it for zipping and unzipping things.

There are lots of places with information on the jar utility.  Here's a
good place to start:
