FWIW, the same attitude is pervasive around this part of the country and companies (Central Il). Despite the fact that everyone I talk to says stay away from the 400, its old technology, etc. We have put in place two iSeries, only using them for reporting systems right now, but my plan is to get it in the door with the object of moving one service after another over to it. It is part an IBM problem, part perception, part the toys on an iSeries are not glamerous. I would put a 170 up against any Dell prodcut any day of the week and we have been a Dell shop for over 10 years.
