On my V5R2 system, option 5 from the system request menu is to send a message. And it issues the SNDMSG command. The only difference is that if you key SNDMSG and press enter, you'll get the message highlighted because it's a required field. Option 4 is to Display Messages. Thanks, Mark Mark D.
