Mike,

As you surmised, we are at version 6.0 of Lawson which I know complicated
things. I don't remember all of the details, but I was prepared to forgo
most of the conversion to speed up the process but it just took too long for

Lawson to respond.. It took 16 days to get my last quote.

As I explained to Lawson back in October, my peak season is during the
winter and I needed to be up and running before it got cold.. On November
19th , I couldn't wait any longer so I went the route of installing a 170
running 5.2 so I could put the rest of my production on our new 520. By the
time I got all of that in place, I figured I lost about 6 weeks of
productive time on the 520.

May I ask what version you are on? I am assuming 6 because 7.2 and 8.0 are
both supported on V5R3. The upgrade from 7.2 to 8.0 is pretty smooth. I
would guess an upgrade from 6 to 8 would be an absolute nightmare from what
I have heard about the 6 to 7 upgrade.
