Re: A/P & G/L

Global Software/Mediclick has a nice package (A/P, G/L, C/M) on the
iSeries.  I believe you can get source code with it and their support is
generally excellent.  I dealt with the same people on their help desk for
several years and they were great.

I would wonder how switching to a new package will end up being cheaper
than upgrading your current one?  By the time you implement it and your
users get skilled with it, i'm thinking it will cost more than an upgrade
(and quite possibly not even be what you or your users want)!

I am looking to replace my A/P and G/L packages..



 I have been using Lawson for the last 20 years but the version I currently
have will not run on 5.3 .. For now, I have kept an

old AS400 around, running 5.2 until I can come up with a solution.



Unfortunately, Lawson quotes have ranged from $12,000 to $140, 000 for an
upgrade,   which is a difficult sell as I

combat the push for a PC Based package . (yes, I have sent a letter to
Lawson Corporate which has gone unanswered).



Does anybody have any reasonable recommendations ?  We are a small , simple
shop with an accounting department

Of about 5 users..
