Hi Keith, http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/pubs/pdfs/as400/V4R4PDF/HB548619.pdf Looking at the above link (which you kindly supplied to me), it confirms what you said, i.e. they say: "the 2723 card connects to the MFIOP, whereas the 2838 connects to either a 2852 or 2868." Back to the seller I guess.
