You can get the current user from the RPG program's status data
structure positions 358 through 367. Job initiator is in positions 254
through 263.

Subject: API to retrieve 'current user'?

Hi everyone,

I'm using the 'set to profile handle' api in a job to temporarily become
another user.

A small issue is that RPG programs called after the profile swap still
report the original user in the status data structure, not the current
user. I currently have to call a CL program to do a RTVJOBA CURUSER to
retrieve the current user name.

Question: Is there a direct API call that will retrieve the current
user?

Thank you.
