The native save/restore commands don't seem to have this capacity.  But
did you take a look at Cryptographic commands? CPHDTA types? There
doesn't seem to be much on examples for these though.

We have an initiative to explore options to encrypt our data going to

back up tapes on our iSeries platforms.   By this I mean, the data on

tape will be fully encrypted, so if the tape was lost and got into the
wrong hands, the data could not be displayed or restored from the tape

another iSeries without a security key.

Is anyone else on the list doing this ?

Does IBM have a native process to achieve this using native Save/Restore
commands ?
