No Lotus software installed on this machine.

The design in which the overhead to support multi-threading was deemed
unnecessary in the interactive environment.

Steve, I respectfully suggest you switch platforms, and just stop
working with the iSeries altogether.  But I'm not going to address any
more of your issues.  That should make us all happier <grin>.
