Matt,

Charles responded to your earlier post:

You need to use RUNRMTCMD instead. STRPCCMD, sends the requested command thru
the 5250 session itself, so obviously it can't be used in batch.

You'll need the "iSeries Access Incoming Remote command" service, or another
REXEC service running.

Also, may need to call the rtopcb in a batch file that first uses cwblogon to
connect to the iSeries. Additionally, if you are going to/from a network
drive, you'll need to use the PC net commands to setup the network connection.

HTH,

Charles Wilt

He is saying that STRPCCMD requires that you have an interactive session running, therefore it can't work in batch.

We're running the following to transfer files using CA interactively.

STRPCO MONMSG CPF0000 STRPCCMD PCCMD('c:\progra~1\ibm\client~1\rtopcb + l:\otb\spdownload.dtf') PAUSE(*YES)

Question - does anyone know how this can be run in batch?

TIA

Matt
