Actually, that will perform like a pig. You're forcing the system to
perform the UCASE() function on each of those fields for each row in the
table. Changing the SRTSEQ on the job to LANDIDSHR should result in a
case-insensitive comparison for everything. 

Also, if this is more than a one-off type query, you may want to look at
the full-text indexing features of DB2400. I've not used them on
iSeries, but I've used FT on SQLServer and it screams compared to a
%xxx% search. I imagine the DB2 capabilities are similar.
