C+ Set :Timestp = current_timestamp 
C/End-Exec

That's all well and good, but one thing to keep in mind is that it is 
often not necessary to even use that file.  For example replace
select current date
from sysibm/sysdummy1
into :mydate

with
Values current date
into :mydate
