Sterling Commerce's GenTran version 2.0 and V5R3

We're getting ready to upgrade our model 810 from V5 R2 to V5 R3.  We use 
version 2.0 of Sterling Commerce's GenTran software to do EDI with a couple 
trading partners.  When I called Sterling, they told me that version 2.0 
wouldn't work with V5 R3 and that we'd need to go back on maintenance so that 
we could upgrade to the new version.

Before I tell my boss that we need to pay for 2 years of maintenance and 
upgrade our EDI software just so we can upgrade to V5 R3, I wanted to check and 
see if any of you had any experience with this.  Has anyone out there tried 
using GenTran version 2.0 at V5 R3?  If so, what problems did you have?
