Subject
Real size vs. Allocated size(other than IFS objects)

This thread is discussing about IFS objects.
I want to check the real size and allocated size of the objects in my
AS400 for certain file objects(not IFS)...what commands should I use to
check that? is there any way i can check that?

Don't know if it would help or not, but are you using the *TYPE2
directories? Also, what OS version are you on?

I thought this was a possibility .... However, not being able to change
this in any way has resulted in us having to purchase almost twice the
disk we really need! And about 1/2 of it will always be empty...

I wonder if I could have created a files system in QOpenSys with
different fill allocation parameters???? Hmmm, does anyone know if
something like that is possible?
