I just recently had this happen; in my case it turned out I was picking up
the wrong library by not specifying the libraries on the get instruction.
Try creating new save files with unique names not used anywhere in your
system before and if it makes any difference.

Subject: FTP changes Save file to Physical File

Hi All!

I am sending a save file from one iSeries to another via FTP. On the
receiving
end, the save file attribute becomes PF instead of SAVF!

Why does this happen? I do the standard stuff:

FTP remotename
LCD local_library
CD remote_library
BINARY
GET savf savf (REPLACE
QUIT

I've even tried using my PC as an intermediary, sending the save file to the
PC, then to the other iSeries with the same results.

Has this happened to anyone before? How did you get around it?

It shouldn't matter, but the save file contains a source file with multiple
members...

TIA,

William
