Chris, I looked into the auditing journal entries and the regular journal codes .. and I did not find a generic "Journal Code" for any object type for any kind of SAVE command. Here is my conclusion and a possible solution. Since you do not use the history option while doing the system save .. you are backing up the QSYS/QADBXREF file that is the system refrence file of the entire system. That means that you have the backup of the file "BEFORE" the backup. Or just keep that image of the file somewhere on DISK for future reference After your backup you can backup again the QSYS/QADBXREF file with the "AFTER" image. The process for you is just to run a quick query or utility program that will use the time stamp value of your backup and BINGO! (There are some internet references explaining the layout of this file) A little out of the way, but I am sure It will provide you with the information that you were after For those crafty "utility code developers" can be used to reconcile a full system backup Jorge Moreno Overseas Military Car Sales Woodbury, New York Confidentiality Notice:This email, including its attachments, may contain information that is confidential and may be protected by federal and/or state laws and regulations, or other confidentiality privileges.
