At InfoCenter is this link on data definition language

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r2/ic2924/info/sqlp/rbafymst72.htm#HDRSQLTECH

And on starting with SQL

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r2/ic2924/info/sqlp/rbafymstworksql.htm

Then there a couple chapters by Paul Conte

http://www.iseriesnetwork.com/resources/tutorials/DB2UDB/

This link is a complete set of statements for creating the sample data in the SQL manuals. One can learn by example

http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/db2/sqldata.htm

And because SQL is pretty much the same everywhere, do a google on "sql tutorial ddl" Some hits include

SQL Interactive Tutorial <http://tutorial.steelarrow.com/sqltutorial/menu.aro>
A Gentle Introduction to SQL <http://www.dcs.napier.ac.uk/~andrew/sql/>

DDL mostly involves CREATE and DROP statements for tables, views, and indexes, plus INSERT statements to populate the tables. Not too complicated.

Some of the above I found at <www.iseries.ibm.com/db2> - dig around for various treasures.

Is there a good tutorial for SQL DDL? If so, where might I find it.

Thank you.
