Old box is v5r2, new box is v5r3. Old box is no longer under software maintenance, so they won't be upgrading it to v5r3 (at this time).

There are literally hundreds of WRKDIRE entries, each with an STMP address. I sure don't want to key them manually, and will write a program if I need to (no biggie there)

I assume that you are doing one of these:
1 - old hardware is on V5R2
2 - New hardware is on V5R3
3 - Either in the misguided belief that you could save time by not upgrading the old box to V5R2, or, the old box is some old model that doesn't support V5R3; you decide to just move over the data to the new box.

In that case it's just as easy as saving the item master (IIM) file from BPCS405CD and restoring it into the middle of a BPCSV8 solution without any conversion (keeping in mind that they added several new fields and changed the size of many existing fields including the item number. In summary, good luck. But if you got the time to kill, you could look at the QAOKP* files in QSYS.

A less risky proposition is to do a DSPDIRE to an output file and then use a program to do a ADDDIRE based on the results.
