Mike,

Have a look in the installation guide, usually tells you what the minimum
PTF level is required to get WAS to run.

I've install WAS Express and ordered the group PTF.
While i'm waiting for the PTF, Can i go ahead and create a server.
i tried walking through the wizard, but it keeps failing(without any
messages as to why) Maybe its because i don't have the PTF.
If not, any idea how i can determine why it failed?

Again, maybe i should just wait for the PTF, but i was just hoping to start
familiarizing myself with it a little.

subject: Installing WAS express 5.1

We just installing a new 520 this weekend, however we neglected to load WAS
express 5.1. I'm planning on driving a couple of hours to the remote
location to try and install tomorrow. . I've been reading through the
documentation, but I have a couple of questions.

First, when I do a Go LICPGM and display installed license programs I see
5769AS1 installed. I read somewhere that this is an old version of
Websphere. Can someone confirm this?

Second. This looks like a fairly simple install. Does anyone know of any
gotchas?
