Joel, I'd say SQL Alter Table would probably work fine, but I'd definitely have to test it out to know for sure. SQL doesn't really work well with multi-member files, but since this is a change to the file object, OS400 probably handles the underlying changes in exactly the same way. Since record format definition is part of the object attributes, changing the record format should be global to all members of the object....
