>> Based on the feedback I have heard spontaneous decapitation won't occur to ILE programs in the default activation group. The sky will not fall (today) BUT ...... You can also drive the wrong way down a freeway and not have an accident. That doesn't mean it was a good idea! The biggest single problem with running ILE in the Default Activation Group (DAG) is that it wasn't designed to work that way. Because of the this, the problems are often subtle and when they surface hard to diagnose. It may also constrain your application design in the future. More to the point though - in order to safely mix ILE and OPM programs you have to know _waaayyyy_ more about ILE than if you just do it the right way and have ILE programs run in named AGs and OPM programs run in the DAG. Period - end of story. If you want to understand the topic a little more try "The Seven Deadly Sins of ILE" which you can find here www.eservercomputing.com/iseries/articles/index.asp?id=1005 Jon Paris Partner400 www.Partner400.com
