Hi Jim

Have you thought about defining a column to be displayed and then defining six
hidden fields on the subfile record. When you build the subfile you populate
the six hidden fields with the values that you may want to show, and then
populate the display column with the appropriate hidden field depending on
which field has been toggled for display.

When you press the function key to toggle the column, you read through your
whole subfile and repopulate the display column with the next field to be
shown. You can ensure the roll-point stays the same by retaining the top
subfile record number from the INFDS and using the SFLRCDNBR keyword in your
DDS to position the subfile accordingly.

Hope this helps

Best regards

Jonathan
