We have a new programmer and she use the %Eof in a lot of her coding. How does this work? -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Steve Morrison Sent: Wednesday, November 10, 2004 9:44 AM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: RE: Faxing from AS400 Jim, We used FAX/400 at a previous employer. It was very reliable. We had purchasing agents from 6 warehouses around the country all sending faxes from the central location. It did send both SCS and AFP data streams. The lawyers made us send a full page of fine print (set up as the backside overlay) with our purchase orders. I think we were running 1800/2000 faxes per week without problems. These faxes were sent during business hours, so if your broadcast can go out after hours, or over the weekend, it should handle the volume. This site does 200 - 500 outbound faxes a day over 2 lines, and weekly a batch of 2,500. I am totally unfamiliar with the IBM software and looking for comments on how easy to run by itself, daily reports or screens of failures, and ease of use to resend, reprint, use both *scs & *afpds spools, merge logos & forms with spools, etc. Customer upgrading to i5 and this fax server is older and needing an upgrade for a hefty sum (over 12k). Approx 15 rpg programs sending faxes. tia jim -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l. -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
