Al, Tried that once in May and got burned. Scheduled it for 00:01:00 from our twinax console (a Decision Data model 1437G) the night before our upgrade from V4R5 to V5R2. Got up at 4:30 A.M. to check it from home and it had not started, WRKACTJOB showed DSPLYA0 QSECOFR INT .0 DLY-00:01:00 DSPW Wasn't sure what happened but thought I might as well kick off a MAPICS backup from home before I drive in to troubleshoot from the console. Kicked off the MAPICS backup and drove in. I started working on the console to troubleshoot why my save 21 never started and all the sudden I get a message that subsystems are ending! The save 21 started as soon as I started working on the console. Right in the middle of my MAPICS backup! Near as I can tell, the console fell asleep (autodim was set to YES) preventing the save from starting as scheduled. So we lost a few hours on our upgrade. -----Original Message----- From: Al Barsa [mailto:barsa@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, November 09, 2004 1:12 PM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: Re: Remote system saves There's a (relatively [V4R1]) new option on GO SAVE 21 for start time.
