PTF's you download come in as a save file. PTF's that you load from media
do not. To the best of my knowledge there is no SAVPTF command. Here are
some choices:
1) Find the ptf on media. However, not all ptf's make it to cume media.
2) Find someone who downloaded it and still has the save file.
3) SCARY: If someone has it installed, but no longer has the media or
the save file, then you could try a DSPOBJD of all objects to a save file
selecting one that shows the ptf number. Like (screen wise) DSPOBJD
OBJ(someibmpgm) OBJTYPE(*PGM) DETAIL(*SERVICE). Query this file for that
ptf and save/restore them to your system. With newer versions of the OS
relying so much on IFS, possible file conversions, etc, I'd only do this
as a method of last result.
4) I suppose you could upgrade from V3R7.
