ASC's SEQUEL tool offers an add-on piece, SEQUEL Web Interface (SWI), which translates all SEQUEL objects that run on the green-screen and in the Windows GUI into CGI applications. We build "portals" out of these by sticking them in iFrames. I'm hoping they release a new version that uses J2EE instead of CGI and lets you create portlets from your SEQUEL objects.
