                If the data integrity of the files is ok, just random items 
missing from within the files , then I would suspect
                some kind of program fluke or mis-use by a user.

                If there are actual files/libraries  missing or corrupted, you 
may have to consider running the DST utility and 
                check the drive for faults.
                If the disk is at fault, then a restore of the libraries/files 
that comprise the M36 library may be in order.
                
                Without knowing the details of the damage, it is difficult to 
surmise what the problem may be.
                Also, check HISTORY surrounding the problem, and see if some 
(rarely used program) was initiated.
