As others have mentioned, FileZilla works very well. We've started using
it as a replacement for WS_FTP Pro. It has excellent configuration
options, and the users seem very happy with it. There is even an FTP
server component to it as well, though I've not needed to use it in
earnest. 

The main problem with understanding iSeries FTP comes from the listing
format used. If you are able to change that from *DFT to *UNIX, you
should find most clients work fine.
