Why not control the overrides in that program versus in a CL program
called just prior?

RE: what is the actual file and member it override to?

Thanks Rob. Unfortunately, it is not a traditional RPG I/O file. The
program is a SQLRPGLE program with embedded sql statement that do select
from a variable file name. I'm needing to know the actual lib/file/member
that it will using at run time before exec the statement.

For traditional I/O you could check the File Information Data Structure.
I didn't see anything bite me in the leg in the SQL structures at
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r3/ic2924/info/db2/rbafzmst02.htm

But I'm a bit busy.
