Jeff, I wrote an RPG service program with functions to read a CSV from the IFS and return each field as a char or numeric, suitable for loading into file fields. It's a lot faster than cpyfrmimpf but not nearly as easy to use. To use it, you'd have to hard code a new program for each destination (cpyto) file, with hard coded field names. It could easily be modified to interpret the single delimiter problem you're experiencing. contact me offline if you'd want, and I'll zip it up for you.
