Hi,

I tested with PuTTY installed on Windows. A simple ssh to a linuxserver and 
then no need to use TN5250. A simple telnet to my AS/400 and it works as well 
as tn5250. My only fears concerned the use of function keys. But in my case it 
works.

Our as/400s are on the inside of our firewall and my mac cant connect 
to that firewall. I have a server with two nics in it, one inside and 
one outside the firewall. I have tn5250 installed on that server and 
can connect to my as/400s BUT I would like to use another software on 
my laptop to do my work. I can SSH into the server from my laptop. Does 
anyone know how I could make something like this happen?

Laptop -> Outside World -> Linux Server -> Inside Network -> AS/400

I guess this is more of a linux question than a Midrange systems 
question..
