Try compiling the program to use adopted authority (User profile . . .
*OWNER) then set the program owner to a profile with *JOBCTL or *SPLCTL
authority. If tighter security is required you can then set up an authority
list for the program or the profile.

I have the authority to use the commands below, but our users do not. I'm
writing an application that will allow a user to email another users spool
file. Is there a way to temporarily grant the user enough authority to
CPYSPLF each time they would like to email a spool file?

Thanks,

Frank

Not authorized to spooled file - CPF3492

Hello,

I'm receiving the CPF3492(Not authorized to spooled file) error in a CLP
program when I'm trying to use CPYSPLF on a spool file generated by
another
job and user. Is there anyway to get around this road block?

Thanks,

Frank
