If it's urls you're concerned with, as a temporary solution you could use
www.tinyurl.com to shorten your long urls.

I've ask this before but maybe someone has found a solution recently.

Has anyone found a way to overcome the 123 character limit of the PCCMD 
parameter on the STRPCCMD command? Some of my URLs are longer than 123 
characters.
