Not freeware that I know of but there are or were several PC based
RPG/III/IV/ILE/etc compilers, etc., that ran REALLY fast...also have/had a
good chunk of the CL and OS/400 file structure support on a intel
platform...

There's baby/400 but there was a group out of the Minneapolis area as I
recall that had a compiler that was even better...forget their name off
hand...
