Walden, You're correct. If the problem persists Michael may very well have to close the SQL session on the VB side. But, it will be a lot easier to trace the PJ job rather then the BCI job to see if this is true. It is up to Michael, but as a matter of course he may want to put some form of timer in his VB app that closes the connection automatically. If no event takes place for, say, 5 minutes then his VB app closes the connection and reopens it on the next event.
