Query automated question

HI I would like to run a query on a weekly basis, that lists the salespersons 
orders that are on a credit hold. I would like the date range to reflect from 
the start of the year until the current week, and to have this upper range 
listed on the heading. Can this be done only in the Query or should there be 
parameters passed. What would be the best way to pass such parameter if that is 
the case?
