Ok, here is the stage:
We have a iSeries web application for student records and the users of the
application log on to the application and not to the iSeries (they do
not have an iSeries profile). Every user gets there own output queue
created on the system.
When a user request a report, the report is generated and placed in the iSeries output queue for that user. We use ASC's Esend product to convert the spool file to a pdf, and then email it to the user.
We wanted to use the same method to deliver reports to all users. Right now we have a little over 2,000 users on this one application but we expect that number to grow to over 10,000 as we allow parents access to the system and they can run their own reports on their children.
Now for the problem:
We have a request by teachers to add grid lines and shading to the reports, and I haven't a clue how to accomplish that request.
Thank you for your help.
Vendor replies are welcome.
