Marc, Are you differentiating "card" from the 2 build in Ethernet ports on the 520, or do they not support SNA either? If they don't, IBM sure his that well - I couldn't see any reference to it in the Sales Manual on Announcement Letter for the 520. They are basically ignored because they do not have a feature code. ...Neil Marc Rauzier <mrauzier@xxxxxxx> Sent by: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx 2004/09/03 11:40 To Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> cc Subject Re: i5 520 Express and APPN Le ven. 03 sept. 2004 17:13:56, Graap, Ken écrivait: > I'm beginning to think that the little i5 model 520 we purchased > the other day is incapable of supporting an APPN/APPC connection > over it's Ethernet card.... Can anyone verify this to be true? Is > this box only capable of supporting a TCP/IP network connection? > It depends on the LAN card. See the System builder redbook. You will find it here : http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/redbooks.nsf/RedpieceAbstracts/sg242155.html?Open For example : the following cards do not support SNA protocols : 2743, 2760, 5706, 5707. -- Cordialement/Best regards Marc Rauzier
