Good News Everybody!

A new search engine is coming soon.

As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

If you create outq QSYSMSG, the messages that IBM has defined as critical
are copied to that message queue as well as to the QSYSOPR message queue.
But _only_ critical messages are placed in QSYSMSG, such as hardware failure
warnings and notifications.

We implemented a program from TAATOOLS that monitors the QSYSMSG queue, and
sends a break message to a predefined list of people. When I get time, I
plan to extend that to send email messages, so that we can get these
notifications away from our terminal sessions.

I meant specific messages. Like for example to prevent a disaster. Important
warnings.

???

I'm mismembering details, but there is a special message queue... Yes,
search the archives for QSYSMSG.
