Jerry, I had a problem with iSeries Access 5.5 with the same symptoms ocurring when typing was interrupted by a break message. Downloading and applying the latest service pack (SI14294, dated 23rd June) resolved it. http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/access/casp.htm HTH Martin ------------------------------ original message: date: Wed, 25 Aug 2004 09:00:45 -0400 from: GKern@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx subject: Dupe key disabling Function Keys Win XP Pro SP1 and iSeries Access 5.5. Keyboard is mapped so that Shift-Insert performs the 5250 dupkey function. However when Shift-Insert is executed on a field that is dupe capable the following message appears on the status line: Duplicate Key or Field Mark not allowed in field. Problem is that after this message is displayed, all of the function keys (F1-F24 & enter) become disabled in that session. Anyone experience this or have a remedy?
